DVD Question

i was wondering if anybody knew how to split a dvd file and burn it into 2 DVDs. i have a dvd i bought and it is like 8 GB so is there anyway i can use 2 blank DVDs (4 GB each), split the dvd, and burn it?

you could split the file in 2 parts, then put each part on a DVD

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but...

8GB DVD files are almost always from dual-layer DVD's (basically 2 DVD's smashed together, I don't know the technicalities) and you can't just split the file that simply. There's a lot of technicalities involved in the split. Try heading to some torrent forum where they download movies. I used to get a lot of info from elitetorrents.org, but they got shut down this last week for leaking Star Wars.
