about templates

hey. do u guys use ps to make templates? and if its just one big image thats made in ps how to i make each seperate button work?

Yes, I design templates. I use photoshop.. everyone that makes templates use photoshop. The buttons have to do with slicing it.

Once your done with your template you slice it to that everything will work as you want it to. If you don't slice it right, you will have problems.

You want to make your website small enough so that 800X600 users don't have to scroll horizontally. That's about the only the limit. Of course you can make different versions of your website for different resolutions.

A personal size I use is 780x820. I like to have alittle more lenght to work with

I use a nice big 1280X1024. ^_^
