I'd like to start doing some product design and here's my first concept. Eventually, I'll do whole houses and interiors. I'm still refining the model (I know theres a lot of thin/thick sections. Its not consistent). I don't have permenant textures yet, those are just on there for now. I realize that the chair on the right is off the ground a little haha. It started to render (it took like 10 hours) and it was too far along when I realized for me to stop it and restart it. Its temporary stuff right now anyway, as I said, its a work in progress still in the early stages. What do you think of the model so far?

One thing I think alot of people don't realise, is that the show off forum is NOT just for sigs, it's for everything.. You can post any work in the show off forum, there's no problem with that.

Well, it depends what materials you are planning on the chair to be made out of? Because some plastics are very dificult to mold into that shape. I'd also think about leg positioning. Are they stable? To me they look like they may not be. Maybe try to bring them outwards towards the bottom for extra stability. You may want to think about the dimensions of it too. I don't know how big it is, so I may be way off here, but if it's 'normal' chair size, then it looks to be very low to the ground. Low chairs are often difficult to get in and out of, especialy if they are 'bucket' shaped as your design is.

I suggest if you would like to get into Product Design, you register on this forum:

It's very useful and the people on there can teach you a lot.

Tough critics are what forums need! People who won't fanny around and sugar-coat everything.
