woot 2nd 3d thing, sorta whorish but its all on my own. Materials are really hard XD. Description. C n c is happily recieved. I'm ready for you jack, smash me down!
-
 smash you down huh. I won't go that far, but lets see what we can do.
First off, I'd like to know what program your doing this in. Most beginners start with Cinema 4D. I started with and use 3ds max (more capable and professional than C4D, 5 times the price as well). It looks like you took a regular primitive (i.e. plane, sphere, cube etc.) and then you added some modifiers to it. Correct me if I'm wrong. It just doesn't look like a shape that you actually modelled. I don't really like the material on there, because it doesn't enhance the render at all. Its just an interesting color with a bit of reflectivity. You have a few poly errors as well.
Creating real objects is where you'll really learn skill at modelling, lighting, and materials (most of the time they are damn hard). I'm not saying go model a person or a car right away, but model some interesting objects so that you get an understanding of how to manipulate the program to get the shapes you want. PM me if you want some help with modelling, I'll send you my screenname. The amount that I'd be able to help you, though, depends on what youre using.

C4D, got it cheap. I can probably get my paws on 3dsmax though, I'll call my friend.

I suggest that you do Like I said, its more professional and capable of more (a little less userfriendly though). I'll be able to help you more with it.

Hehehehe :P
Its kinda.......... ugly lol
Keep trying, work on tutorials!

Enh, tutorials rarely help here aside from doing materials or doing the crappy trendwhore abstracts with a brushed "core explosion".
The best thing to do with 3d is just mess with the program to see what everything does. Thats how all of the pros say they got to where they are. PM me whenever you get 3ds max and I'll show you the technique I used to model (theres many ways to do it).

Ya sorry equal, I don't do tuts....I look at them, but don't do something while looking at them....I believe that it isn't my work so why should i produce something as mine? W/e. Thx jack.
