    Previously, for PS 7, you could Ctrl + click to select just the intended layer

    now when i do it with cs, it doesnt work. can anyone help me?

    just right click on the document to select the layers.

    Ctrl + click on the intended layer in the layer pallette is what you're talking about right? On my CS in works perfectly :blink:

    mine doesnt work....do i need windows service pack 2 or sumthing?

    I think you mean you've got CS2. because On cs2 that fueture is removed..

    why was it removed on cs2? is there an alternative?

    it wasnt removed.
    instead of clicking on the layer's name, ctrl+click on the layer's small preview (next to its name)
