I started with a tutorial from this site but I wasn't happy with the result so I added and changed some things and here it is then:

scanlines in most cases don't work and in this case it seperates the render from the background. Also the text try not to use bevel so much it makes it look noob. check out our tuts im sure there will b some good advice in there.

Can't really see what's going on with all those scanlines..
Try simpler text..
