a while back i did some modifications to a bass and it got a pretty nice response, so here is another.

named it "nightsky" for obvious reasons

Very nice, done a brillant job mate. I can see a touch of red on the begining of that long arm thingy, between the bottom two strings. Maybe a shadow around the long arm thingy too, though you may not be able to see it considering the colour of the back thingy.

PS. I dont know a lot about gitars :-)

ahh thats better. just realised why the neck looks like it doesn't match with the back board thingy, is cause you have added a highlight along the top edge by accident i think. its only where the back board thingy is. Also I think there needs to be a shaddow similar to the orrig one around where the neck is on the back board thingy (metalskin starts googling for gitar terminology).

decent, but i think your last one was awesomner. first off, the edges are crappy, sorry dude but you need to antialiase them or something. and also maybe have a buffer around the edge on the star brushing. second, you can obviously tell the fret numbers were computer added try a pillow emboss maybe??? ah well. also you didnt do that much, but it is decent i gues.

the bastards from Jackson have been stealing designs from Maverick guitars! grrrr.... it looks almost identical in shape to a Maverick X-Treme/Chaos II.

anyway, nice work if i saw that on a guitar/bass while shopping for a new one, i would seriously be tempted by it's asthetic properties. the one thing i hate on your design is the stupid numbered frets you did. yuck.

Haha, nice job, like the way you done that. The new photoshop CS2 is suppost to have a feature to wrap images around for you, its really cool, theres a thread regarding it in the gfx discussion.
