i think you should lower the brightness

I'd try working on your blending a little, instead of blurring it some much, try and work on the actual theme of the background flowing into the render, or vice versa. (Probably vice versa as the render is the focal). Also, I'd lower the opacity of what seems to be a pixel stretch, dunno what it is, but it's too bright and detracts from the render .
