It makes everyone across the world be able to contact each other instantly.

The internet has been the best teacher i have ever had. Don't get me wrong i learned abit at school, but it was'nt what i wanted to know so i never really bothered myself. The net has thousands of tutorials and to be honest, if it did'nt i would'nt of seen myself buying books to learn what i wanted to no.

Personally i don't think i would of ever of got into graphics and web design if i hadn't of had the net at home. It's the only thing i have wanted to do for the past few years.

The net deffinitly needs some kind of monitoring tho', all you hear about is child pornography perverts being scooped on everyday, but for them to distribute thos images/videos across the net there going to need some kind of hosting. Thats the only thing that baffles me is why they can't monitor such traffic. So in my opnion some kind of governing body would definitely be welcomed to help weed out that type of perversion.

Yes, for the fact that you can learn almost anything on the internet. You can meet people easier and enjoy talking to people around the country.

No, for the fact of sexual predators charges increasing insanely since the internet became really big. Plus you may become addicted to the internet and it's websites (Xanga, MySpace, etc.)

the internet makes the world go 'round. it is a brilliant invention with is exponentially helpful to our society.

unfortunately, people have taken advantage of it, and it is not a breeding house for drugs, pornography, and warez. If only our society didn't have to screw everything good up whenever they come around.

na i like the internet, but there is always -ve with something that is positive to peoples life. Like obesity is on the rise, people not interacting socially with people and using the internet for friends don't get me wrong but u need to be able to interact with something other than a computer. lol...
