What do you think of them?

Do you get annoyed by them?

I personally am starting to get annoyed by them, it's just stupid, I mean honestly... their life doesn't suck. It could be a heck of a lot worse, just look at the people in Africa with AIDS that are barely surviving.

Keep this debate flame-free, and friendly. We don't need another breakout.

Yea, they are total assholes. (lol just kidding, won't go that far)

But, yeah, they annoy me to be honest.

Also, goths annoy me, and people who think they are hard (when they're not).

Once again. The only reason they are gothic is because they don't want to take showers.

    *Rephrased better on old topic.*

I'm not sure topics like this should be posted on a web-site, It could lose/drive away (potential) members.

But if oyur oing to give oyur view.. actually ask one for THEIR oppinon on what Emo is. then people with have sometinhg to view on.. rather than giving YOUR opinion on what they are.

They are just gays who want attention. They think their lives are so god damn bad, when they probably have better lives than most people. They should go live in Somalia for a day, or live on the streets with absolutely nothing, or maybe spend a day or two in the shoes of a volunteer fire fighter or an army officer, who risk their own lives to save others, instead of sitting in your room all day, writing about how bad your life is and that you want to kill yourself.

I know many people who have much worse lives than 90% of these emo kids. My friend's mother died when he was like a tiny kid of cancer. My auntie has cancer, and she has had a heart transplant as well. My uncle also just came back from a holiday to find out he has cancer as well. But do i see any of them slitting their wrists, writing suicide notes, and complaining every time they get a chance? No. My auntie is still happy and grateful to be alive, unlike most emo's, and my uncle is too. My mate is also still just as normal and happy as any other kid.

But don't get me wrong, there probably are some emo's who do have really bad lives, but they shouldn't really think about killing themselves and self mutilation, they should think of ways to make their lives better, and try and make use of their lives, because they aren't worthless.

Most emo's need a huge reality check.

Emo's are people who MAKE thier lives bad. I mean, look at it; before they dyed thier hair or got a haircut, started listening to thier damned music, and wearing those clothes, they were perfectly alright.

Most people who don't fit in usually go emo. Hell, if there wasn't a thing such as emo, and if it wasn't that popular, people would be something else. Something else meaning "not feeling deprived of thier life and thinking it's so bad". How bad is it; they buy $40+ clothes? Some people have to buy $5 clothes, or get them out of a dumpster if they're poor.

I agree spid3r. I hate posers, they're just hypocrites. Emo kids are the epitemy of posers. They do a lot of damage to themselves as well. Cutting their wrists. You could get an infection like that. Emo music is not bad, i try not to listen to the lyrics, they're too depressing. And did you know that 92% of teenagers are becoming emo, or something to that effect.

Did you know that most of those statistics you hear are completely false? 92% of teenagers aren't turning emo, I can promise you that.

If emo's were seriously poor, then they wouldn't be buying those "speshal* emo brands," they would be wearing target™ clothes, and cheap white t-shirts constantly.

Also, cutting their wrist isn't something they all do, although, it pretty much seems like it's an 'initiation ritual' to the 'emo world,' because quite a few of them do it.

Quite a few of my friends are 'emo' or 'hardcore'

I have no problem with most of them. Though the way they make themselves out to be the victims of the world screams attention whore to me. The way they hang out in front of local shopping centres almost looks intimidating, and probably would be to a normal person. I regard them as quite anti-social.
