Ok I am looking for the easiest and best possible way to remove something from a flattened image or image without layers in PS. For example, lets say you got a picture of a room inside a house and in that picture you have a rug that you need to remove from the photo. Obviously, if you cut it out then there will be a big transparent hole in the picture, so what do you do to fix that? I say you rebuild the image, more or less where the hole is. Instead of cutting it out, I just simply used the clone tool from various areas around the rug and cloned pixels over the top of where the rug used to be. This worked but was very time consuming and I have no idea how it will look when printed. I also had to go back and rebuild or draw the grouted areas of the tiled floor which was a pain. I am just wondering if there is an easier or better way to do such things that you guys know of. If you know of another method then please post up some guide, simple directions, or link me to some tutorial or something. Thanks.
