Dear Sir/Madam,

I have just noticed that a site hosted on your servers is currently breaking the TOS for your host.

http://www.climb-x.com/ is currently using an illegal version of Invision Power Board. I have obtained this information from the fact that they are using:

a) Illegal Skins: An administrator at "Climb-X" stated that a skin that they had for their board had been "hacked", and viruses and popups inserted:

http://www.climb-x.com/index.php?showtopic=15786

This is a classic sign that a skin has been illegal downloaded from a "warez" file sharing service, or torrent, etc. Also, the files that would need to be edited to do this can only be edited from your server, so unless a "hacker" obtained this information, they would not be able to edit these files.

Furthermore, this led me to believe that as 7 illegal skins had been downloaded, I was also intrigued to discover if the Invision Power Board software had also been downloaded illigitimately.

Using a link provided by Invision Power Board, you can easily discover if a board has been registered - if not it is obviously illegal.

The link for this task is:
http://www.climb-xcom/index.php?ipscheck=1

As you can see, the result of
<result>0</result>
You do not have permission to view this page.
Clearly shows that this is a board unregistered with Invision Power Services. The proper result given should be "12408,21564" (Although this is just an example, you can see the idea of it).
I believe that you will take the appropriate action, which in this case should be account suspension - the piracy is a direct violation of the TOS of your web hosting company.

Yours Sincerely,
Peter Stoneman[/b]
That is a copy of an email sent to our hosting and it is the reason I haven’t been around. My host then in turn sent me this.

Hello Stephen,

We have gotten a complaint that your Invision Power Board is not registered and it is using a skin that is against their terms.
