Alright, yes, this is an advertisement that I'm working on. I won't post a link or anything like that and I'm not here to get members, just to hear some thoughts on the progress of the piece itself, so don't give me any lip  All I'll say so that it makes sense is that the place is called V Supernus. What do you guys think about it so far? I'm interested in hearing about the model, the materials, etc. Also, if anybody has any, I want to hear some ideas about what else I could do with it. I mean like what type of environment should I put it in? Should it just be a floor that's a solid, eye catching color? Should I make it look like an advertisement for a real drink? I'm leaning towards that last idea. Anyway, let's hear your thoughts.

As for what I've done so far, I modelled the can and did some basic materials in about 1-1.5 hours. I made the label in photoshop (I did the VS and the rest is a font). I'm still going to add onto the label, so about that too, if anybody has interesting ideas, I'm all ears.

I'm pretty sure that anyone with more then 1500 posts can put up ads anyways. =p Did BLT talk you into doing something for him? I know I was trying to check out the site awhile ago and it offline.

Anyways I think it looks really nice so far. The modeling of the can looks solid and I like what you did with the label. As for the background or whatever to be honest I'm clueless. Maybe make it in one of the freezer thing at a gas station or something..though that would be abit of work. Not sure though.

Thanks man No, BLT didn't talk me into it, but I've been talking to him and Grant about doing an ad/banner soon and I just decided to have a go at it.

I really really like that gas station freezer idea. That sounds fun. I think I might actually use that one, plus I'll be able to use the models in that one for another piece I planned awhile ago in which I need to model tons and tons of garbage. It's gonna be the most detailed thing I've ever done. That's a different discussion though. Anyway, that's a great idea, thanks again. You and I should collab sometime.

Oh okay. Yeah I haven't talked to the Grant fellow but BLT seems like a pretty good guy from the bit we talked. =)

Great. Glad you like the idea.

I tend not to do collabs but Yeah sure. We might be able to do something together at some point. It would be interesting. =)

Elektrik - Yep, joined vS a few days ago. I agree that it needs more lighting, this is just to show what I've done so far

CK - Grant is Victorinox. PS: I'm still going to call you CK.

i think you should make the environment a fridge, i like what you have done there, very nice. I think i'll be able to give you more crit, once you have done the environment.

I think it would be better if it had more shine to it, like that it reflects more light

I think it needs to have some barbed wire wrapped around it and some nutrition facts on the can. And also some cracks around the bottom of it.

Wow, I read your mind Jack!
