having prob with text

when i open photoshop i get this...


and after i make a text box, i get this...


and it wont change, i cant do anything with text....

dose any1 know whats wrong, did i change something by mistake?

Check your DPI, maybe that's the problem. It might just be your PS though, did you try to reinstall?

everything looks to b the same as it was b4. i have reinstalled it with no effect but i didnt delete it all off my computer because of some settings i want to keep...if all else fails, ill delete it all together and start over.

I'm pretty sure element is right there. 72 sounds standard.

72 is standard. It also probably didn't help that your text size was 1296 pt

Thats what the problem was, when he made a text box it made the text size goto 1296pt
