If you haven't seen it, it's going to be insane. Not only are the graphics damn good, but the new control system is very cool. The right thumbstick is going to be used as the player's "stick". moving it around lets you deke, and you also shoot with it by moving it back then forward, and the power and direction are decided by the speed and angle you release it at. Also, the goalies and players have realistic movements and equipment. The goalies, in particular, are going to be very in-depth. Each have their own styles: for instance, if you are familiar with Hasek, he is very erratic and wild in the net, whereas some are more calm and conservative. Also, their pads and masks are going to match how they are in real life. The player's faces and styles are matched to real life as well. Also included: erratic puck movements, realisitc bounces and deflections, and a more realistic feel, and more. For more, read this:

In my opinion, this game is not only going to be the best hockey game ever, but possibly a contender for the best sports game yet.. even for non-hockey fans

i've always been a fan of the nhl series, but 2k has had better gameplay from time to time. this time, however, 2k has fallen behind.. the graphics look like the current-gen version of nhl 07, and the controls don't seem as tight or innovative as nhl's shot stick

we'll see how it all plays out
