I just got CS2 the other day along with some new web developing software and among installing it all I noticed a few things that were different for me than it was in CS. The first thing that pissed me off is that for whatever reason Illustrator does not give me samples or show me samples of the fonts anymore, but PS does. It used to be the exact opposite. I do a whole lot of work in Illustrator so it is nerve racking to me to have to keep PS open just to see my fonts. Oh, and if you are going to mention Fontbook for this purpose then don't because my fontbook has been screwed up for a long ass time. It is still there but it doesn't show any fonts that I have, it won't install. I have no idea what is up with that, it all happened after I got the fonts from my school and uploaded them. It seemed to swipe my Fontbook somehow and I haven't got it to work since other than just being able to open it. If anyone has any ideas as to what I can do to fix any of that then please enlighten me.

Now back to my CS2 things. Another thing I noticed different from CS and CS2 is that some of the short cuts I used to use in CS do not work in CS2. For example, you know how you used to be able to Apple select and click a layer and it would automatically select everything in that layer? That does not work on CS2 for me which is very annoying because that is a nice feature. Does anyone have any clue as to why this does not work? Or, do you have a way that you know of to do the same thing? Perhaps the shortcut has just changed. Thanks for any and all help.

Yeah CS2 has a lot of changed from CS, too select the layer (i dont have a mac so im guessing) you should apple click the thumbnail of the layer in the layers dock.

Um I have illustrator CS2 and that gives me samples of the fonts, im not sure where your looking but if you go to type>font you should see all the fonts u have and the samples.

I dont know anything about fontbook so i cant help you there but i hope this helps
