This is my first 3D model I've done in Cinema 4D. I've only worked in Bryce 2 and 3D as a kid, so that's the only experience I have with 3D. I'm still learning the program, and I learn alot while I'm building this podracer. For those who doesn't know what a podracer is, it's one of those things Anakin races with in Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. :P

I am for the moment working on the cockpit. No details added there yet expect the chair, which looks kinda odd with nothing else there. :P
Nothing on this preview is finished, I'm gonna work on everything.

What do you think of it this far?

whoa sweet, pretty nice. what method did you use for this?? like the spiky stuff around the turbines, did you explode a cylinder? and how'd you make the cockpit, its very smooth.

I don't remember what I did with the turbines. XD
The cockpit is made just out of two discs with alot tweaking with the magnet and brush tool.

Looking pretty sweet so far. Must have taken ages for such detail, I look forward to viewing final product. Are you making your own materials for each part to emulate real star wars graphics, with the bolt of lightning between the jets.
