    Default [3d] PAWNAGE II!! ZOMG

Well, originally I did that first scene depicting one chess piece strangling another just for that contest (that was never finished, but I'm too lazy to keep going with that). However, in my AP art class we're in a section of the portfolio in which we have to make 12 pieces that are of a related concept. I thought it'd be really fun to do 12 scenes of chess pieces killing each other.

So here's the second one! In this, one piece will be holding a lighter (roughly the same size as the pieces themselves) melting the other. I've finished both the lighter and the melted piece. I'm using the same two pieces as the previous scene, so what I have left is to pose the second piece (to make it hold the lighter). After that I need to create some sort of simple environment for them - I think they'll be standing on a book that's on a table with a lamp in the background.

    Heres the lighter:

What do you guys think so far?

Oh and this is what I'm entering in the 4 way battle.

Oh thanks for reminding me! I wanted to add a warning label or something to the lighter. Maybe I'll make a version with climb-x on the label.

Thanks a lot Tom I brushed a flame in photoshop so people can get an idea for what it will look like.

Very nice, however, I think the two figures should be alot closer to each other. The flame should be practically on the melting one, because, as is, it is closer to the one holding it and therefore HE should be melting, not the other guy.
