I got a PS question I need help with...

Ok let's say I got this fancy vector logo with a lot of effects but Illustrator doesn't quite give me the effect range I am looking for so I import/copy/or place this vector logo as a smart image in PS CS2. Now my question is that if I were to go in and paint this image with the dodge and burn tool or something to add extra highlights then say finish this logo and save it. All is fine right, but let's say I want to enlarge or shrink the vector logo. Would the photoshop painted image change uniformly and nicely with the exact same effects if I changed the vector in Illustrator and then updated the same smart object in PS? Does this make sense? Naturally, I could do this but it would require a whole lot of time and effort for nothing if it doesn't do what I think it does. Can anyone answer that question? Thanks.

im not 100% sure what your asking but i think the awnser would be no because of the ps part and it being a raster format.

i wud say no to mate since the image u copied wud b a raster and not a vector, sorry mate
