I tried to do a planet ( for the first time ) and I discovered it takes alot of work to get it a bit better without using anything but photoshop. This took a little while to do and I probably could get it better but Iam to lazy as always and I think it looks really crappy so this project are probably going to hit the trashcan or something.

If Iam trying to do something new I would probably do it all over. But it is good training though.

By the way, I havent used any textures or anything like that. I have just used the original settings from photoshop and done everything by hand in photoshop. And no tutorial or something like that. I havent look at any picture or anything.

    The planet

Man that wallpaper is sooo crappy      <_<

not bad, a couple things. the sun has a red flare part comin out of it that is too sharp in contrast to the rest of the sun. maybe get rid of the "clouds" on the earth. It looks like you have two "sets" of stars, blurred and non blurred, the non blurred look crappy. get rid of the nebula effect.

Alright, for 2 of you- Don't criticize others work even if they don't like it themselves too much. He didn't ask for you to say it was bad.

Morphius- Nice to have you back man! I think it could use some work, but the texture and colors look nice. Maybe try to make the stars a little less blurry as well. I think you did a better job than you feel you did, good work. Hope to see you around man!

Im so sorry dude about my post...i wasn't thinking.

So, let me start over. It needs some help. You didn't look off anything? Man thats crazy i could never do that. Anywayz on with the help. The clouds on earth need some less opacity...try to make it look like fog. Also there are way to many stars. Beileve it or not photoshop comes with orginal blury brushes...try the 5 pixel and 13 pixel one...they work great for stars. Also whats in the top left corner? The nebulas looks good. The moon needs some craters. That might help a little. I haven't tried to make a space setting yet, so this better then ive done I hope you try to make this better. Im also glad ure back!

lol.. big fat guy... ur comments are so contrasting it would make pple think u r faking it... anyway, i think there is this white part near the end that is a little messy over there, maybe you can try to make the earth more... uh... spherish i guess, try to use some adobe photoshop brushes. Some of them are nice to use. Once i made a planet using clouds and gave it some lighting effects. Gawd it looked cool but on the overall it is not too bad
