Thread: For my son.

  1. #1

    Default For my son.

I've had a hard time with life lately, I lost my son (He died) and my ex fiance because she cheated on me with a 34 year old =\. This was something I wrote when I was depressed/angry/confused

    Warning: This is free form.

    A life

    With out warning.
A sign of some sort from up above you where taken from me
The unborn of my dreams snatched away by the demons of the after life
Taken and hidden from me too never lay my eyes upon thee.
IT wasn't until this day I realized how much I truly wanted you.
It seems that good guys always finish last.
Not only in life but in the unborn
You would have been a great man Kayden
A wonderful baby boy you would have made.
I never realized how much I needed you.
How much I truly wished this day never had too come.
I love you; and I'll never be able too tell you.
I'll never be able too hold you in my arms.
Look into your eyes and see a little bit of my self.
For once I am truly lost in my own world.
Wondering what I will do with out my baby boy.
But all things happen for a reason I was told.
Perhaps you are looking down on your daddy and knowing all this.
Knowing that with out you I won't know what too do.
    I love you my son.
And daddy will never forget you.

That's real man. Nice job on the poem. Good flow and stays on point. Conveys a good array of feelings using simple words and phrases to really bring the reader in to how you're feeling. Obviously we can't level with your feelings as we haven't been through it personally, but you did a good job of finding a base level that we all can understand.

RIP Kayden. Some of us are taken from life before it even starts. Your old man knows you'll be looking down on him in all he does, and rest assured that he'll find comfort in that some day, after the healing process we all have to go through at one point. You'll meet again when the time is right. Some of my friends lost their 3 year old son in a fire, and I was there for them when they were going through it all. I don't know first hand, but I understand how hard it is to get through, and you're a tough guy to do something constructive and help get your emotions out in a responsible and healthy way.

As for your fiancee, there's really nothing I can say about that bro. Cheating is always a really brutal thing to deal with, and while some relationships recover from it, prepare yourself to move on. I could feed you the normal "there are more fish in the sea" line, but that's for people that really don't care and just need to say something to make it seem like they're helping. Losing one person you're close to is hard, and I can't imagine losing a family like that. Look at this situation as a mark to do things differently. If you have something you've always wanted to do but never got around to, try it. Take risks and jumble things around. Do what you can to keep yourself busy, and hey, who knows, you might meet someone else in the process. Sooner or later, the wounds will heal (the best they can) and you'll be able to breathe easy again.

Stay strong man, and remember you have one love here to help you if you need it.
