my friend was signature-less for a while, so i just decided to make a signature for him.....i think it turned out pretty nicely

Don't think this one works out too well, the light at the top right is kind of weird, looks like you just used a lens flare.

Effects are kind of standing out alot; draws too much attention away from the focal point.

Blending is good however, may was to do just a touch more to give it a more natural flowing look.

Like the background; seems to work good with the render.

Text on the other hand may need some more work, placement seems to be ok; maybe move it around to check out the other options also I wouldn't bother using any blending options; it seems like you did on the Heavenly Mind text, try to use a color from his shirt and mess around with the opacity a bit. As for the other text I'm not quite sure, maybe place it underneath the other text?

Other than that, doesn't look that bad, just needs some touch ups.

I agree with aristo..
The lens flare looks pretty awkward. To create lighting in a sig do the following:
New layer
Fill black
Paint once, in white or another color from the sig (using 100px 80% opacity 0% hardness brush)
then set it to linear dodge.

This will make some better lighting then lens flares.

IMO i think youn should erase the red c4d like thing over his head. It bothers me, and distracts a lot.

Not too bad on the blending though. As for text I think the clipping mask style text is working okay, but IMO you need to make the H more visible. ALso the font is a bit weird. Seems a bit too "groovy" for my taste, maybe somehting more default like arial?

Not too bad overall.
