Yeah, I'm going to be making a portfolio site. I know that it may seem that I'm following a current "trend" but I've actually been thinking of doing this for about a year, and I just now have the time to start it.

So this is the "splash" image I guess you would call it. It doesn't have a border, because the background of the page is going to be the same colour. It is very simple, but I wanted to keep this simple, and not "trendwhore" it to pieces...

meh, its too plain. and that tribal thing isnt the best either. work on it

what do you suggest. I'm still really new to not using a shit load of filters, and making everything have that nebula effect on it... Please help...

ehmm kinda simple huh? try some effects on text and some background etc...

Check it out again. I got rid of the tribal thing, and used some brushes. I like it... what do you think?...

Can you repost the original? I'd like to see the progress. The new one is nice and simple. If you have the backgroung be the same as that image, it should look pretty good.

Alright, the new one is much better. The only thing that I can see getting in your way is the problem with seemlessly tiling your background. It will looks good the way I am thinking of it in my head.

Yeah. that's what I'm currently trying to figure out. Hopefully I can get rid of this brain fart and firgure something...
