    Default fishing pool panorama

    picture of a fishing pool.
    panorama is based on 3 portraitphotos [ ] [ ] [ ]

if i was there one hour later, i guess the shot was at least two times better because of the lovely atmosphere in the evening. any suggestions?

    really nice shot pleymo

    any suggestions? of course!

go back, closer to the lake so you can capture those reflections to their full potential, i dont feel like the foreground is doing much for me.. im interested in the background but cant see enough to please me.
at the golden times, either 30mins before sunset or 30mins after
use a ND filter to smooth out the water with a long exposure perhaps
and try not to overexpose the sky again

of course that is just what i'd do

    ok thanks mate

I already decided that I should go back to make a better shot. But what is a ND filter? Neutral Density I thought? What can I achieve with it?

And when I go to that place again, the sky won't be over-exposured because the sun will be less bright. But I think I will have to take my boots with me, because I was already standing in a swamp-like area xD

    thanks again.

ND, as you said, a neutral density filter
Depending on what filter you own, it blocks out a number of stops of light
So if you had a day where it was 1/500s and F/8
An 8 stop filter would equate to 1/2s at F/8
    0:1/500
    1:1/250
    2:1/125
    3:1/64
    4:1/32
    5:1/16
    6:1/8
    7:1/4
    8:1/2

Basically it would let you get motion in the water (if there was wind, since its a lake) and smooth it out.

oh ok thanks for the information mate.
and the water is quite smooth, but there are some little waves and ripples, which can be smoothed out, yeah maybe that will be the next item on my to-buy-list.
