A little dark, but the light source is realistic, the border is alright, maybe just a simple black, 1px line would work better. The text is pretty nice as well and your blending is pretty decent. Good job for a first vertical sig. :P

Ptka hit the nail on the head, the lightsource is really realistic tbh looks like what that original could have been.

I only see two real problems with this.

The border is killing it..
The border is used to seperate the sig and the forum from eachother, almost acting like a picture frame. Now if you put something ontop\behind the border that you can see you render the border useless. Thus it has no place in being there in the first place, in which i will then recite the same schpeal again lol. So really the only time you should be using a border is with a flat color.

The second thing that i see wrong is the text. I ALMOST works with this. But it just really doesnt. In this case garamond would have sufficed way better (default font). Stick to them, it'll help you in the long run.

Overal though not bad i like it. You did good!

10 times better, i love the updates you made.
My final suggestion would be to desaturate the text just a tiny bit. Give it more a grayish-red saturation.
