this is pretty good you did well. A few things though:
This would be sooooo hot with just a simple texture. maybe a paper texture or somethign! this earth texture or whatever it is is shooting my eyes in all directions, NO! I'd drop that texture and add in a cool one that focuses on the peice itself.
Secondly effects are good but right in the middle of the c4d looking thing here is too much bussiness. It looks liek you over lap a bit of the etxture or soemthign ontop of it and it makes it just not look good.
I'd suggest running through your layers and seeing what is vital and what isnt.
finally that black pentooling - extremly distracting. Everythign in this picture has low contrast, it's all gray. Why pull out the darks right at the end in one spot. Drop those they are distracting and rly bother me.
Great job aside formt hat. Great blending, cool effects and good diea. Just finesse it and it'll be..BElicemO!

I agree with papa on all his points the thing i wanna repeat is the bg stock. I looked at it aswell and had a hard time focusing on the actual focal point. Just make a simple bg that do not distract but put more focus on the focal. The focal point on the other hand looks pretty hawt. Great job putting c4d and stocks together.
