    Default The Les Paul

Here is something different. I wanted to vector an object, and choose a Les Paul.

And here is a bigger, more detailed view. Caution, large file

Pretty sweet. Although your black gradient isn't very smooth. I see big color lines.

Alot of that has to do with the type of monitor you use. I see it too, but I bet he doesn't see it in illustrator. Exporting to jpeg and png / other image formats can cause this. Although I'm not quite sure exactly what creates the phenomena, it probably wasn't his intention, primarily because illustrator uses gradients, and you can't really make vector...raster in illustrator unless you export it that way. I did some research on it a while back, because the same thing had happened to me. Something to do with subtle color transitions. The way the pixels sit, those subtle color changes just simply aren't possible, so they tend to meld, causing a somewhat blocky appearance.

When a raster program does the gradiants, it will mix 2 shades together. That is how it gets its smooth transitions. But for vector, they simply stop, 1 shade ends, and the next begins.

Very nice. The colour lines are just something that come with vectoring and they dont bother me. Awesome work.
