I take it it was this. http://he1z.deviantart.com/art/Positive-Hype-99586208

Well I like it but there's too much negative space, doing nothing. I also don't get the secondary butterfly, coming in slightly, seems pointless as it has no real effects. Also it looks like a replica of the other butterfly which is either lazy or means you couldn't find another one. Everything should have seperate detail, I noticed in your heart went out one you also duplicated the hand and turned it over. I feel you should just make another one. This is different for you as you usually draw stuff by hand. I like what you were trying but it feels a bit incomplete for me, random effects for nothing. Perhaps give it some meaning. If I'm correct in thinking that Positive Hype was your inspiration it has true meaning, the effects go with the hysteria feeling and the colors compliment this.

I like how you've got racing at night, but maybe give it something more to tip it off the edge. This is just me talking here, others may feel different. I can see you progressing and I'm happy you tried something different.

I'm not feeling this one sud.
First off the butterfly is okay, but its colors don't rly match up with the color scheme of the effects and could have easily been changed.
Also butterfly's don't race. everytime i've seen a butterfly it's been kinda gliding/hopping around. I just don't understand how the concept runs with your name.

Secondly the effects are looking a bit off. I'll tell you right now he didn't paint all of those effects, A ton of his effects are light streaks. Somebody released a pack of them at pr, you should google them if your serious about this, cause thats what those lines are.

lastly one of the thing that made is picture so successful was that he put details into the backround that made it interesting. there really isn't a whole lot else to go by, so once you get bored of the effects and the shape, you have to focus on the BG.
You rlyu dont have a BG, yeah a few stars but nothign that looks that impressive. Add more stars! Add some nebulas! add anything. I'd take a loko at greg martins tutorials for this, his work will tell you a lot how to make ur BG perfect.
