Second shot

I've gotta thank Solaris for the tips I got while making it.

I think this deserves a royal breakdown. Here goes...
Before|||After

Before:

After:

Minimalism is a beautiful thing. I couldn't agree more with the person who said this to me years ago. The new layout is a monument to that. I love how you went with the idea of having a portfolio with no navigation and ran with it. You ran with it, and in a good way. Here's why: Your old site front page had literally no information. Yes it had that little blurb, but who is going to read that? Visitors come to see the meat of the site--the work. Unless the type is interesting (header, etc) it isnt going to be read. So judging from just the front page of your old site to your new one, you have made a massive improvement on usability. You even eliminated the need for a navigation because all of your work is on the same page. Talk about a portfolio with hot fries and a shake! I like this transformation.
Minor changes (possibly)
That blue subtitle is the only thing I dislike :P Primary reason being: it's one of the 2 places that color hue is used (links are colored this way as well). This makes the subtitle a little awkwardly balanced. A dark grey or white would be good, and would take a little emphasis off of the subtitle. As long as it's a darker shade than the actual logo, you'll be in good shape.
I would also redo the bullets, there's so many! :P Try to generalize because your audience may not always know what some of those services are:
- Logo design
- Vector artwork
- Web design
- Digital painting
- Flash animation & web design
- Photography
- Photo retouching
- Photo manipulation
Would be:
- Branding
- Web design
- Interactive media
- Photography
Took out the bullets that referred to "flash" or "vector" because one of the above would take the place of those. Offering web design affords that you know how to use photoshop, illustrator, and any other design medium you may be using. Interactive media is usually a good way to describe flash and animation work. Photography would naturally envelope retouching as well as manipulation, since being a photographer takes many forms.
If you feel like you need to elaborate on the actual technical skills you have, you can do that when you meet the client, showing your portfolio. But right off the bat, you don't need to give them all the details.
Spectacular job Jeff. (And A+ for the XHTML 1.0 Strict Validation)

I never said that :P

Solar it's a fact, not a quote

Haha, I do see what you're saying about the blue subtitle though. I put that there to try and justify the use of blue elsewhere, because I feared not having enough of it. Changing it to gray made me wonder if I should change the footer border color to red as well, but it just looked strange.
Point taken about the bullets. The long list came before from the old portfolio, where the about page had its own section and I basically made filler text.
Seeing the two side-by-side makes me like the new one so much more.
