Hum, it's dosent really look grunge. Kinda like abstract. Grunge is more of a dirty and messy kinda pciture. The colors and render make it look abstract.
-
On abstract signatures i use some base layers with grunge brushes then some
abstract. But maybe on my grunge attempts, should i only use grunge
brushes or grunge and one layer abstract as on this one?

I suggest using only grunge brushes. Try too keep the colors dark, like deep reds, organes, black, gray, and a little white.

Well if you are wanting it 100% grunge I guess you would only use grunge brushes but I like how this one looks, It has a layer over it all that gives it a grunge look with some abstract in the back. Text is nice, maybe make a little bigger since this text is thin in width size.
I personally like the render, but I think needs a little more blending and it looks like the layer about it or maybe just it makes the render a little bright in some areas that make it have a bright yellow coloring in places. Try and make the colors not to bright in those areas.
Good work on the bg.
