CD's cover i made

hey these are sum mixtape covers i made/ cd covers
and i was wondering if you guys can review this and tell me what i need to make better please...don't hold nutting back ^_^( and can sumone give me tips on text effects because my texts look kinda n0.oby)

And i was try to achieve a glossy look to the cover so if anyone know khow to make it glossy feel free to tell me XD

umm for the first one you need to blend the stock in a little bit more he kind of sticks out a little too much and work on some new texts, second is pretty good!

Yea i no my text is bad and i the gun lol i new it was bad but when i was finsh i mad ethe pic smaller to try to hide it but i guess not lol but thax for your review really helped

Yea i no the point was to add alot of things into the cover soo it can catch pples eye
but if you mean by like every thing looks disored and messy please feel free to tell me how to make it better ^_^

Hm... well I can search for you but that defeats the purpose.. here's some good sites

1. GOOGLE ( no kidding it's the shit for finding tutorials)

let me know what you find! and glossy is an effect that is added post-printing, not really under your control

Well i think the main problem is that they both seem overcrowded and way to messy. In the first one my eyes goes all over the place cant find a place to focus. And i think the place you want them to focus are on the main charactor in the front and the text (name on the mixtape) So try making it more simple. Remove alot of the bg,, maybe just have a simble bg/ an explosion behind fire ect someting like that? My advice is to make them both more simple
