Nice depth on the smudging but the sudden change to black kinda of keels the flow. Perhaps just have a light smudge of colors in there to help the depth, blurred alot. I dunno anything haha. Not feeling the text either. Hard to read diagonal text and on the black it's very stand outish. But seeing as you havn't used it in forever, nice job man!

As everyone else said, the black area needs to be fixed.

Perhaps getting rid of some of the smudging on his face would make it look nicer aswell.

Finally sam, ;P was wondering when you were going to post this ;P Anyways, i really like it, but like some of the others have said the black needs something added to it, even if it isnt much, and also i think the shaded areas of his nose etc needs to be slighly lighter. great job though dude keep on designing, ;P ANIME SIGS FTW
