Bohemians Soccer Club Website
Looking for a bit of critique before I slice this up. I think I have the grid down pretty well. I just can't decide which size would be better. Also, the content won't be so blocky. There will be a blog like newsfeed, but the rest of the content will most likely be tables for roster, standings, etc.

I linked them both since they're both fairly big images.

I think I like the 840 one more, probably because that one compliments that emblem's look best.
I like it overall. Shouldn't the "main" content area have a header though? And I think that section could use a little more padding--it seems a little tight. I'm curious as to how it would look when you have very little information, or more information than would fit. How would you handle scrolling content, if it comes to it?
Nice work.

I can't really give a proper critique because it seems a little unfinished. A couple things I note that I'm not too keen on are the font choice for the nav and the content needs to be broken down a bit. Unless you intend to make it a blog site, paragraph content should be kept to a maximum of 4-5 sentences. On the size of the site, try making the image 1000x and then using the 960x site proportion to give it some room to breathe.

Content - definitely not just going to be a big bunch of paragraphs. And will have some sort of header. The majority of the content will be tables. The main page will have a preview of the most recent entry and a list of the other 3-5 most recent entries for you to see (Chris, this is a code I got from Derek that he used on his Jason Thorne site). As well as a php calendar and the table with leading scorers. I have the content designed in my mind - just didn't put it on the virtual page.
Essentially. Scrolling content would be accompanied by the red side bar expanding. The overlap at the footer would be the "bottom" of the div and the red would just overflow. it will be fairly empty after the content expands over the height but it won't be your focus so i'm not too concerned.
As far as the font goes for the navigation - it can be changed, and it probably will to either Arial or Helvetica.
My only other issue is copyright placement. I'm not too sure where it can fit in.

I would definitely like to see the content has it would appear on the live site, that would give a much better representation of the potential site. As for the nav, a size 10 arial / helvetica would be perfect.
