Hi all, my name's Rachyl and up until recently I've never had a computer very capable of running photoshop comfortably. I've always had a desire to create something outstanding of my run-of-the-mill digital camera photos. Before I ever got the guts to try and figure photoshop out I used the basic editor that came with my Samsung s360 digital camera. Samsung's Digimax Master was a buggy, terrible program yet I managed to produce some okay things with its extreme limitations. I eventually gained enough motivation and I did mess around with PS from time to time and managed to create something that turned out decent for having been a first attempt. That is until my laptop's cpu died. Since then I've lost a motivation to try and do much of anything creative because had hardly a computer. But now that I can, I want to. More than ever!

Eventually, I'll share with you my photos from each of those programs, as embarassing as they may be.

Nice to meet all of you and am looking forward to progressing with the aid of some of the aweosme tutorials I've seen on here!

If anyone can show me one long thread that has compiled all of the basic knowledge in an easy to learn format, that'd be excellent.

Welcome, Rachyl. I haven't seen such a thread on the void before. You should start by reading tuts on how to make sigs. Even if that's not your main interest, believe it or not, you'll learn loads from there, including the basics. You can find them in the tutorials section. Hope to see some awesome work coming from you soon! If you have any questions, feel free to pm any of us. I'm sure anyone here on the void will be happy to help you out.
