After maniping it into a picture I then set about recolouring and making into a artistic photograph.

Nice manipulation.

My issue with this is that the colours are too contrasted and vibrant so it doesn't look very real at all.

I agree. definelty bump down the contrst. When i saw the frog i thought it wasfake at first. Cool manip though. Good cut. Maybe add some more shadowing, like paint in shadows on the sides of him like his fingers. they are looking a bit papery in places.

Ill second that, contrast needs a bit down turn. But i think it looks cool other than that, great cut out, work as papa said a bit on the shadows that was my first thoughts when i saw it, it still looks like the frog is a bit pasted on keep it cool dude xD
