Website Header
My first attempt at creating something like this in PS. This is for a website that my dad is having me build for him, to sell his handcrafted walking sticks/wands/etc.

And a business card that I've made as well...
Sorry for the size I just saved the .png as a preview but the original file is of a high resolution for printing purposes. I also forgot to trim the edges in the preview, oh well.

They're not bad, the buisness card is a bit plain, the other one is better but I don't like the text.

The card was really supposed to be plain, that's what my dad requested. As for the "other" one you mean the header? The text again was my dad's choice. I produced a list of 100+ fonts for him to choose from, and he liked the Pr Viking 01 the best.

Oh okay, well as long as he's happy with it I guess it's good.

The business card is going to be relatively difficult to get printed, that is, unless you're willing to fork out the dough for a good enough quality printing to avoid not totally ruining the design.

Oh it's been sent to a small printing company that does digital printing, and I told the guy straight up that it's full color, and for 1000 one sided full color cards it's only around 85 bucks. Which isn't so bad. On top of that I made sure to follow the proper procedures for making a business card in photoshop, i.e. 300 DPI resolution, CMYK color mode, complete with bleed and cut guide lines.

Even so, be prepared for the worst. I've had alot of hit and miss when it comes to business cards. I try to avoid using anything that is "photo-like". Designs that are flat and complimentary to the dimensions and overall physique of the card usually tend to do better than those that treat the card as a "canvas", if that makes any sense. Just a friendly precaution.
Hope it comes out well for you.
As for the header, it's hard for me to give any actual feedback because I'm more a usability type person than anything else. For something to actually be good, as opposed to looking good, it has to fit. And I can't get a feel for that unless I've seen the whole of where the header is going.
