Alright to brush it is it good to use default, cause that how I made my bg. And as for the pic and stuff yah i'm just startin out in photoshop so criticise more, MORE!

not bad...but one mistake made by a lot of new photoshop users is once they find out the layer style options, they overuse them. for instance, don't add bevels, glows, and gradients just cuz you know how to use them now. knowing when NOT to use them demonstrates more skill IMO.
i think making the border a simple 1 pixel black border will look sharper than that beveled thing. give it a try and see how you like it.
edit: by the way, to answer your question about brushing, using defaults are fine as a beginner. once you learn how to manipulate them, you realize they can offer a lot of versatility and you don't HAVE to download brush packs. however, that background motion blur is a pretty basic effect. try doing something to it that makes it your own unique piece.

text overall sucks..outer glow shouldn't be there..and the red text doesn't flow at all. The name text isn't good because of low quality, looks blurred. I don't really like the fact that there is no brushing at all. The render doesn't look bad, but still needs to be blended. Try some of the tuts out around the site..you should improve greatly. You can get brushes from DA and you can get fonts from DaFont. Another good place for fonts is 1001Fonts Hope this helps and I have hard crit. because he asked.
