Ummm these scripts will tell you how to add marquee's in different directions ^_^
Just copy the script and change the ,YOUR TEXT, text to whatever you want
enjoy.

left marquee[u]

<marquee behavior=scroll direction="left" scrollamount="5">Your text here</marquee>

Right marquee

<marquee behavior=scroll direction="right" scrollamount="5">Your text here</marquee>

Down marquee

<marquee behavior=scroll direction="down" scrollamount="5">Your text here</marquee>

Up marquee

<marquee behavior=scroll direction="up" scrollamount="5">Your text here</marquee>

Back and forth marquee

<marquee behavior="alternate" scrollamount="5">your text here</marquee>

&#092;&#092;To put images as marquee&#39;s//
Change left for the direction you want it to move, your image.gif to your own, image name to your own and speed to your own.

<marquee behavior=scroll direction="left" scrollamount="5"></a></marquee>

&#092;&#092;&#092;Add a image link to scrolling marquees///

Change The address to the address you want your image to link to , Change left for the direction you want it to move, change your image to your own, image name to your own and speed to your own.

<marquee behavior=scroll direction="left" scrollamount="5"><a href="http://link address></a></marquee>

marquee isn&#39;t totally cross-browser compatible. It&#39;s a tag that died back in HTML 3.0 really, along with blink and should remain their. You did a good job explaining it though, just a pour tag to use.

Marquee is "scrolling" text. You can make an image or text scroll across the screen in a never ending loop.

Wouldn&#39;t this be something cool to use if you had alot of affiliates though, you could scroll there logo image continuously across the bottom of your page.

Marquees can be usefull if you use them right, as Maverick pointed out, but almost 100% of the time they&#39;re not used correctly, and they look horrible.

Same goes with the really &#39;flashy&#39; animated GIF&#39;s, putting MIDI songs on webpages, changing the mouse&#39;s cursor, and stuff like that.
