ok i have pscs2 and everything has been running smoothly up till now. everytime i make a new layer and try to fill it in with some color, it just flashes for like a quick second but stays transparent. ive uninstalled and reinstalled, ive looked around in cs2 to see what the prob was and i cant find anything. if someone knows why this is happening, please help me out. thanks.

Are you sure you couldn't find anything in ps?
It would seem kinda hard that a dll'ed version would install normally but then not function for something like that, no?
you could try getting a new torrent...
Personally i'd never buy it legally... it's just sooOO overpriced...(andi'mpoor  )

it's not overpriced (except in australia where they can abuse the remoteness of australia and price gouge). ~400 AUD is a bloody good price for a software suite as complex as Photoshop. Remember people make a lot of money from Photoshop, and thats what it is designed for. Designers, photographers, etc who all use it as a part of their job.
As a student or similar I understand why you think it's overpriced, but in all honesty Adobe do not market for your area, they market for professionals.
Ask a builder how much his tools cost him? Or to compare apples to apples, ask any graphics designer how much their tools cost them before computers came along. specialy pre-press printers or similar who had to work with negatives.
Trust me, it is well worth the money.
Getting back on the subject. Well a lot of cracks/hacks are known to cause random problems. This is because software developers try and write their software to fail in unexpected ways when a hack/crack has been applied. Most crackers look for the key disabling factor from a license or time limited version of software, but good software will have key areas of its software limited seperatly that may use hashing algorithims unknown to the crackers.
Your problem doesn't suprise me and may be because your using an illegal version. I would recommend getting an educational version if your a student.

Are you crazy? Why do that? lol Just about everything I have gotten is illegal. Why pay so much money when you can have it free? I would steal the actual CD if I could, but then I might get in trouble. lol

would you steal a car if you could get away with it?
