Hey, not many of you know me by my current username... but this is octane/firetap.

I used to be a frequent member at the old Climb-X and was a Global Mod at some point in time...
...anyway, I was just reminiscing and figured I'd see if this place exists - as well as CX.

Oh, the nostalgia.

John bought it out, it was setup by a guy called TacoX about 5 years ago. When Climb-X was going under, I think John merged the memebers? Not sure, I don't visit often, I was only active a few years ago.

My bad, I think Metal set up a site called gfxdugout.com... but sure enough, it tanked :/

I remember John being the admin of CX near it's final days, so it doesn't surprise me he merged the two. In fact, my account should be on here, but I don't remember for the life of me what my username was at the time... :/

I vaguely remember Climb-x. So long ago.

Well, there are basically two periods in Climb-X. There was the time when Metal was there, and the time when Metal left. When Metal was there, it was flourishing. Probably one of the most influential graphics communities on the internet. When Metal left, it kept bouncing around in site ownership, deteriorating, until John took over, ended the misery, and merged it with this site.

Yeah, I still have connections with Smiling Demon. He and I both do a bit of photography and he's currently at Cambridge University (in England) and I'm at Texas A&M planning on transferring to the University of Texas next semester.

Everyone else seems to have fallen off the face of the earth... anyone hear anything about Myst/Legionstrife or Jack, either? I used to play Xbox Live with myst...
