Positioning Your Tag Text

I was wondering, when making an avatar, signature, or any piece of graphic/art work, where do you normally put your Tag/User/Name Text on the piece?

I've been told to put it near the render or focal area of the image so that your focal is at where it's suppose to be.

How else could you place it?

It's ok to experiment.
doesn't mater where it needs to stand but the best is in the focal.
Is the left/right/... side empty try to fill it with tekst

You will learn it from tuts or from other siggs

You could just not add it.
