Haven't thought of a fitting title yet as this is still a work in progress, but I'd like to get some criticism/opinions on the first verses

Verse 1:

According to my logic if faith is an option
You shouldn't be condemned if you choose not to opt-in

So it seems more like an ultimatum
Accept me as your lord or your ass can go to Satan

So I'm here debatin' my soul's destination
And can't help but thinkin' the whole thing is fake when

Contemplation is the demon that I'm facin'
Common sense tells me religion was created

And ever since then all it did was bring hatred
And hand out forgiveness for all of these haters

Like, thou shall not kill or else go to Hell
Or just say you're sorry God'll come and post your bail

Belief in destiny is meant to be a remedy
Everything I did was fate so why you blaming me?

I used to pray at night to see if he was there
Guess he figured he was too good to answer prayers

But, he was never fond of answers far as I can see
You got a question just replace it with some blind belief

You give the bible more value than a diamond
You gonna die soon and see it really was a rhinestone

People always tell me Life's a bitch
Maybe they should just end the relationship.


Verse two:

According to my philosophy the bible is a mockery
You ignore the fallacies and paint it like it's problem free

I'm looking for the facts and all I see are blank pages
You're just an addict for life you need to stop cravin'

You reject your final breath as the last chapter
Cause you're scared of death and won't accept there's nothing after

Show me where the soul resides in our anatomy
Why can't you see we're just some atoms in a galaxy?

I guess it's easier to just be conceited
Believin' you're special and death can be cheated

You're on your way to Heaven where the fags are erased
And all the bad is replaced with the habits you crave

What about the ones who never heard of Jesus?
Are they gonna go to Hell and burn with demons?

Oh that's right they'll have their choice with the Rapture
Choose God and live happily ever after

How old are you still believin' in these in these fairy tales?
Say hello to Santa Claus when you make it there.

its not an option to "opt-in" or not, its an option of where you will be in the end. Whose side will you be on? Good or evil, you decide. Heaven or hell. We are all already a part of this wether we "opt-in" or not. Its actually a very beautiful thing, Jesus says just believe in him, thats it, not to hard at all.

I'm sorry, but I refuse that logic. I don't believe in God, therefore I'm not a part of your little game. Back on topic, thats good shit Monroe. It has good rhythm and the words are powerful; Can't wait to read it when your finished with the whole thing.

I'm referring to the inconsistencies of freewill and destiny. Not really trying to get into a debate here though. I'll reply to you in verse two lol.

freewill and destiny go hand in hand, you use your own freewill to decide your destiny. TrueLM, just because you dont believe in something, doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

According to general belief, the theistic god is omnipotent, omniscient, wholly good, and eternal. This means that God knows everything that will happen even before it happens. So if God knows something will happen, then it must happen, because he knows it will. And if it must happen, then it is not in our power to do otherwise. This is called predestination, and it is a large part of theism, which I assume is what you what you believe in.

It's just like when believers refer to "God's plan". Oh you lost your job, but don't worry, it's all part of God's plan. If he has predetermined our actions and ultimately our destiny, then we don't have a choice, nor free will, because a being as worthless as yourself surely can't alter God's plan.

You truly are a blind believer if you won't even acknowledge the contradictions and inconsistencies. Free will and destiny are a paradox.

Might I add that I am not a die-hard atheist, I'm in fact an agnostic. I just choose to apply logic and evidence in the place of faith and the beliefs of others.

I enjoy your lyrics wholly and the rhythm hasn't broken from what was established in verse one. Are you listening to a beat while you write?
