Alright, well, in the first one the colors don't seem right to me. I think the color scheme chosen here wasn't too great and you don't have many light colors, it mainly consists of dark blue, teal and purple.

Also the text could use some work as well. I always advise that if you're attempting to include text, be creative with it. Add subtext, small images, whatever you feel relates to the theme and general atmosphere.

The second one is much better.
The splatters effect around Kanye is quite neat, but I'm not a fan of the background.

You could've use some more stronger colors and more media.
By media, I mean more effects.
Examples:
C4D's - you got that down
Bubbles
Space Stocks
etc ..

It also looks to me in both of them you overuse your gradient maps, don't lower the opacity or set them on the right blending mode.

The most typical and mainly used blending mode for gradients is 'Soft Light'.
Lower the opacity and erase with a low opacity brush if needed.

Some things to work on in future pieces:
Colors - biggest priority, imo
Text - it isn't always necessary to add, but if you're going to add it, work on it a bit more
Effects - expand your effects and use more
