Art schools
Yeah.
I still have 2-3 years before I go to college.Since I'm planning on going to a design/art school in the US.I need to plan in advance because I need to work towards a scholarship because most design schools are effing costly.I'm trying to work towards a strong portfolio.
Yeah.Is there anyone who's studying in a design/art college at the mo.What kind of work do they look for in admissions? What kind of work do they look for in scholarships.Even though most colleges say what is necessary for an admission/scholarship.I guess a student will know a little bit more..haha.
Even though there are ratings.Personally do you know any good colleges?

The Art Institutes is pretty good, I'm planning to go there for college. Other colleges have Graphic Design programs too, but Art Institutes is probably the best.

Yeah pretty much the arts institute and their best campus is down in sanfransisco. If you're in newyork and want to apply to a cuny dedicated towards graphic design then city tech would be your best option

Closest one to me is in New York. Don't mind the distance though.

Your portfolio should comprise of what field of art you want to study. The colleges don't necessarily look for one type of art in particular. If you like to paint then develop a portfolio showcasing your paintings. If you want to do graphic design, then make a portfolio that displays your skills in graphic design. Same goes for drawing, sculpting, fashion design, typography, architecture, web design, etc. They're looking at your talent and potential, not the medium itself.
What type of art are you looking to study?
