well this is my 1st sig i kno it fails compared to all your sigs

but give me constructive criticism to better myself in my sig making.

yes very over sharpened. colors and contrast need work, as well as text. borders should be kept at no more than 3px

i think smudging is a great technique to start out with. i also recommend not messing with the blending options too much right now. so mes around with smudging, sharpen only once, and top it off with couple of gradient maps.

maybe a larger focal and using colors of your focal to make your bg and also id recommend duplicating your render at least 4 times to be re used in case u made a mistake or something else and couldn't go back . also maybe smudge in the focal a bit to blend more in the bg but not bad at all for the 1st attempt kiu
