    Default New Camera

So I got a new camera for Christmas and I kind of have always wanted to get into like landscape pictures, so I think I might start working on it now that I got a Camera . I know these pics are crappy, but please CnC your hearts out. I want a bunch of tips I don't know anything about photography really. I just kind of winged it.

I for one also like the landscape pictures, I wanted to get a camera for Christmas as well but I choose the mac book instead. The one thing I notice is the colors on your photographs are a bit washed out, I would recommend adding some contrast and saturation and maybe a hint of vibrance. Also i would give all the photos a tiny bit of sharpening and blurring. But for "not knowing anything about photography" these are fantastic, I love the fourth landscape one give it a bit of sharpen and it would be perfect.

    Love,

    your long lost lover Fork.

First one, maybe would look better if you went lower, cuz then maybe you'd see the path in the middle a little better. Right now There's not much going on, but it got potential!
Second one would look awesome with a bit more depth! It would've made the tree stand out a bit more. Colors are good, I like them.
Third one has too much going on. It's a little messy.
Fourth one has alot of potential. It needs more contrast and saturation. The depth here is nice!

Also, I agree with fork on this one!

Have heard that if you want to create landscapes foto's that you need to go: or very early morning or late to go. At those times it's still dark and you can contrast in your photos and nature is at its best

Hmm. Try adding more depth to your picture. You want to have a foreground, middleground, and background in all your pictures. It's a lot like sig making. The basic elements of art can be applied to ALL forms of art. When I say foreground, middleground, and background, this is kinda what I mean...

Granted, we don't all have such interesting subjects to take pictures of but you can see that the stones make a great foreground, the water makes a great middleground, and the hills make a great background. Give something similar a try. Good luck.
