You know megapixels is all about the size, and nothing else, right:P?

maybe use some of your sig knowledge of photoshop on photos
like lighting and depth and gmaps and stuff
to make the photos look better
the photos seem a bit average
    i like the first one
    and i have that 12mp phone aswell - it's terrible :L

It's some pretty decent photos. First one has nice depth, but the bg is too messy
Second one, also too messy. Hard to figure out the focal.
Third one is pretty nice. Like the composition, and interesting content.
Fourth one is ok. A little messy, but it kinda needs a little depth.

Photography is not that hard to comprehend but you gotta know the basics of it first. I would suggest taking classes or reading it up online. You NEED to know each part of the camera and its function. By setting the camera to auto and just taking pictures is not the true art of photography. The basics include things such as shutterspeed aperature ISO etc etc. Those all control how your photograph comes out. Also you need to know what megapixels are and what resolution etc are. Those are ok pictures for first ones and im not a major photogrpahy guy but to improve vastly you need to find someone to teach you about it or read up about it
