Smudge help.
Hai!
Everytime i try to smudge something it fails. I follow tutorials, i do what it tells me to do and i don't even get close to their result.
I'm trying to follow the Assassins Creed sig tutorial atm, his result looks like this:

When i try to smudge for some reason it won't really go far, only about 10-20 pixels out of the thing i'm smudging.
I just messed around untill i end up with this:

My main problem is that all my colors are gone, i'm always left with a grey mess.
Any clue where i'm going wrong?

leave it how the top image is, set the blending options and move on to the next one.
Blending options? D=
Problem is it's either something like that or with big gaps in it =/

those are blending options... im assuming your doing a tut that requires many duplicates of the render and you smudge each one and then blend it into the bg......
post a link for the tut your using and you might get some better help

yeh. look at the render. it is big! paste in the render, don't reseize it, move the brown parts into your sig and smudge that...
then when you are happy paste in the render on a new layer and reseize it to your liking and place it where it fits your bg.
