Default Viewing and posting in Signature Showcase

i have seen alot of signatures in signature showcase getting hundreds of views and little c&c or no replies at all

there should be a way to make it so that if you view something you must post on it it's not fair to us who make these graphics and are trying to improve and getting very little to no help or advice from our more active and experienced graphic designers

i understand if you don't know what to say or you don't like something or your being lazy but please as a community can we come together and start giving more replies to things we are viewing on the forums? i am sure this isn't happening in just the signature showcase either and i would like to see some sort of difference made towards this not only will it help others to improve or be encouraged to continue trying to make graphics but we've also been having alot of new members join increasingly strong as of late and i am sure that they would look negatively upon this we don't want that do we?

maybe have something in the posting rules or something i don't have a general idea yet i will try to think of some though i just thought i would bring this to attention and see what our communities ideas thoughts and opinions are about this matter i know for myself when i view someone's work i make a post regardless if i like it or not and i try to give a good feedback and help them the best i can i would like to see and encourage more members to do the same thing it gets really fustrating putting graphics up to get help with to improve and noone's contributing back.

Some are too lazy, some think there isn't anything to improve on.

Why would you want to enforce if you view, you post..
Half of the posts are - "Nice work dude KIU, 9/10."

Though if anyone wants CnC, PM me and I'll get to you guys.

I will go into more detail about this when I get home, but basically not every view is a member. Many people not on the void view threads and there are also a heap of Bots that search random threads.

The hard part is that you can't enforce people to post and post a full critique. Not everyone wants to and not everyone can. Can I ask but have you ever viewed a sig or thread and never posted in it or given a full in-depth review of the art?

You can't force someone to post something...That'd be going against free will. This site isn't Communism related, It's more of a democracy.

As Nutter mentioned, lots of views are by bots and or spiders. Some may also be from a mod just looking to see if there isn't any issues within a thread. For instance, I don't give cnc hardly ever, mostly due to the fact I know very little about gfx. I do however do random checks here and there just to make sure there isn't a problem. Other mods may also do the same. Not to mention the fact that I've always said the page views aren't all that accurate in the first place.

    Thanks.
    Prick.

I stopped CnCing a while back, partly because I left making tags for good. Fork also has a point. CnCing is a choice.

In all honesty though I look at pretty much everything that's posted on this website as I study IT and I'm behind a computer all day... And when I'm not I can check on my phone or iPod. If I were to cnc each and every signature I see I'd be writing hours haha but yeah I try to give some advice every now and then.
