Looks great, sick effects and I love the colour(s) but I think the effect's might be a bit too distracting from his face.

V2 is better, perhaps add in some lighting, because that'll lower the ammount of focus that goes to the effects (they are a bit bright), but REALLY nice tag you've got here

Oh i forgot to add something, the effects look odd, because they seem to be creating light, however the light on the render is from the top and slightly to the right!

Yeah definitely V2. Nice effects man! You probably could have lowered some of the effects to keep it from being a bit bright, unless that's what you were going for. A light source from the top would be nice also!
